South Kapiti was first published in 1999 by the
Whitcombe Press. It was reprinted in 2001 and in 2000 won the history/biography
section of the Montana Book Awards. It is a large format (210mm x
270mm) hard-cover book of 306 pages, lavishly illustrated in
colour throughout. We were actively involved in most
aspects of its production including research, design,
layout, print supervsion and production of promotional
material including ads and fliers. We have also carried out similar
roles in the production of previous books by the Whitcombe
Press including Waikanae - Past & Present (1988)
and Tararua - the Story of a Mountain Range
(1994). Currently work is proceeding on
the Whitcombe Press's next project - a biography of
mountaineer and writer John Pascoe. Kapiti retails for $49.95 (incl
